These four warriors are faceless and unnamed, as to represent us all, what we can become, they are embodiments of strength, self-reliance, and pride. For the purposes of the RPG forum however we shall attempt to determine a few things about these elusive characters. We know very little about them, the majority of what we know for certain can be found on album covers, and perhaps a few hints within the lyrics themselves. The epic song/story entitled The Warriors Prayer gives us some information, unfortunately nothing about their identities, we can speculate however.
Within this tale we learn that one of the four warriors uses "A Sword Of Steel" and comes from somewhere in the North. The second comes from the South and bears "A Battle Ax" The third comes from the East and carries "A Spiked Club" While the rider who comes from the West wields "A Great Hammer Of War" We also learn that they are in fact kings, the very fact that they show up in various places around the world (in one case at least one of them shows up in England) suggests that if they are kings, they must be royalty from far off lands.
The lyrics constantly make references to certain "crowns and rings" which appear to be seriously sought after items. The rings appear to be silver, measuring roughly 8-10 inches in diameter, we haven't been given a closeup view of them to see if there are any particular symbols, or perhaps runic engravings upon them.
The song The Crown And The Ring confirms the suspicion that the four faceless warriors are kings. We also learn from this song that the warriors lament the apparent lose of their crowns and the mysterious misplacement of the the four rings, each warrior being in possession of one. Furthermore the song Blood of the Kings states that there are in fact 6 magic circles (rings, apparently made from the blood of six ancient kings).
We also learn from the song that the four faceless warriors are very popular with the people, having forces in many counties around the world, including - England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Belgium, Holland, France, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. The song entitled Carry On indicates that the combined forces of their supporters within these countries is roughly One Hundred thousand Riders.
